The Lightning 3 in 1 Kids Waterproof Jacket is perfect for active kids. Fully waterproof with taped seams, this colourful and well-designed jacket comes with a detachable inner fleece, making it very practical and versatile for changeable weather.

Detachable inner fleece - can be worn separately or with the outer waterproof layer

Storm flap - prevents wind or rain from getting in at the zip

Recommended Care – when cleaning and reproofing, it is highly recommended to use technical detergent to maintain the optimal condition and functionality of fabric. As with all specialist fabrics, we advise against using regular detergents and to follow the garment’s washing instructions.

Product Features:

3-in-1 jackets are made of two separate layers; an outer waterproof shell and an inner, removable padded jacket or fleece. They can be worn in three different ways depending on the weather; a raincoat on wet days, a fleece on dry days, or together on cold and wet days. A versatile, essential jacket for unpredictable Spring and Autumnal weather, or cold and wet Winter.

Taped Seams: provide a physical barrier that prevents water from leaking through seams, stitching or joins in the fabric, making every inch of the garment waterproof. These garments are ideal for outdoor activities in changeable or wet weather.

Waterproof (2000mm): This waterproof material has been laboratory tested as having a hydrostatic rating of 2,000mm. This is a measure of the water pressure a garment can withstand which indicates how waterproof it is. The higher the number, the greater water pressure it can withstand.

The Difference Between Waterproof & Water-Resistant:

Shopping for a jacket can be confusing, with different terms and ratings used. Below is a simple guide to help you pick the perfect jacket:

Showerproof: The fabric is treated with a coating that resists water. These jackets are a great value-for-money option to keep you dry in light rain showers.

Water-Resistant: The fabric is treated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating. This allows moisture to bead and roll off the surface. Ideal for light rain or limited exposure to heavier rain.

Waterproof: These fabrics can withstand heavier rainfall without letting moisture in. They will usually quote a lab-tested "hydrostatic head" rating, which measures the level of waterproofness. Higher ratings (5,000mm or 10,000mm) are the most waterproof, ideal for activities in wet or changeable conditions.
